"Our main water valve blew off early on a Saturday morning. Midwest Restoration was able to find a plumber who could fix the valve so the village could turn our water back on. "On January 5th we had a fire in the upstairs of our home. Being a Firefighter i have experienced many house fires unfortunately. However never in my own home. Later that day a gentleman from Midwest Restoration showed up at our doorstep. George. George was very professional and kind. He walked us through the process of how things are handled from this point on. He got some guys there right away to put in some smoke eaters and air scrubbers. Took some our laundry that had smoke damage to get cleaned so we had some clothes that we could get back in the next day or 2.. its a process that my family and I had never experienced before. Not one I wish on anyone. George even had his wife along who sat and spoke with my wife and kids and really helped put them at ease. Over the next couple of days alot of people came and went and did their things, insurance adjuster, fire Investigator etc... amongst those people were the lead guy for the project from Midwest Restoration Ryker. He came in with his crew, the contents crew and demo crew, he is very intelligent and very knowledgeable about everything that needs to happen and in the order it needs to take place. Most importantly he is the mediator between us and the insurance company adjuster. If you have ever dealt with an adjuster, I'm sure you understand. Ryker has handled all of that. As the crew lead on this part of the process he has been amazing. Very easy to work with, very easy to talk to. As a project lead definitely the guy you want in your corner. Jamie was the crew lead on the contents crew. That is a big job and we didn't always make it very easy for her. It's hard to throw your things away when you think they can be saved. It's hard to see a lifetime of your family's things, kids toys and memories being thrown out because they were covered in soot and smoke damaged. She has a very tough job and did it with the utmost respect. We are currently in the demolition stage of this process. This is a different crew still lead by Ryker but the onsite crew lead is Dayton. I tell you for as young as he is. He is very knowledgeable in what he does. We all think demo is easy but when your trying to contain and not spread harmful materials, spores and things of that nature while tearing apart a contaminated area that then has to be walked through an uncontaminated area of a living space to get it outside into the dumpster, Dayton and his crew have done an awesome job at keeping all of that from getting into the rest of the house. They installed zippered plastic doorways and sealed everything up to keep said particles, dust and debris from getting any where it shouldn't be. As for the demo process, I walked up there the other day with my wife and we were stunned and absolutely amazed at how clean the demo was. If walls and fixtures weren't missing I would have wondered if any work was actually being done. I've never seen a cleaner or more organized demolition in my life. It's absolutely amazing. Dayton and his crew got a ton of work done in just a weeks time. The scope of the project has become bigger than expected due to the extent of the soot and smoke damage and they are rolling right with it. He speaks to either myself or my wife everyday to give us updates and get our feedback. He is very polite, respectful, kind and courteous. He even takes a few seconds each day to greet our outside cat Boots and our inside cat Alina. He has even helped my wife get some heavy packages into the house so she's not trying to lift that stuff by herself. Definitely a young man that was raised right. Goes out of his way to go that extra step in everything he does. To George, Ryker, Jamie and Dayton. With all of our appreciation and gratitude. Thank you. Thank you for your continued patience and your respect to us and our home and most importantly for all of your hard work and dedication to making this all as easy and as painless as possible for our family. We called and Ryker came out within hours, assessed the situation and had someone there a few hours later to take care of everything. The tech that came was thorough and professional and did an amazingly neat job. Ryker followed up the next day with a visit to see that everything was taken care of. "I called them after a water/sewage backup in my basement. It was a Sunday and I talked to someone right away. We had already gotten rid of the waste, so I just needed clean up and removal of damaged items, which unfortunately was a lot, but they took care of everything. Ryker came out first thing Monday to assess the damage and explained to me what the team would be doing. When the team arrived, Eli, the lead also talked with me about what they would be doing, asked me questions and allowed me to ask questions. He kept me informed of the progress. "December 27,2024, I went down to check my laundery and found my basement filling with water from my sump pump which was squirting water non stop out into the small room it was located. I find Midwest Restoration on the internet, called about my probllem. Every thing about their help was so efficient and kindly done The dispatcher quick;y sent over a crew & gave me the number of a plumber I should call to fix my sump. The crew took care of every this so quickly and easily. Setting up the equipment to dry out the basement and Louie checked daily till it was dry. Louie, Jake and Jadan were wonderful, The plumber fixed the sump pump quickly which stopped the water. All the workers saved me from a totally destroyed basement, Every thing was done with kindness and courtsey and well.
